At Corner Corral, we believe the best things in life are grown with care, made by hand, and shared around the table.

Our roots run deep in Iowa agriculture. Both of Meriah’s parents were raised on family farms, and her grandfather still lives on their family’s Century Farm today. From an early age, she developed a love for gardening, preserving food, baking from scratch, and learning the skills that allow families to live a little closer to the land.

Trent’s story begins just a few miles away. He grew up on the same farm his grandparents purchased decades ago before eventually selling it to his parents. What was once a traditional 1950s diversified farm—filled with dairy cows, chickens, pigs, horses, and gardens—slowly evolved, as so many Midwestern farms did, into corn, soybeans, and beef cattle. Today, Trent continues farming that same ground while honoring the generations before him.

The name Corner Corral was born from family. In 2024, Trent’s mom fulfilled a lifelong dream by opening Corner Corral Creamery in their hometown of Exira, Iowa. The name quickly became synonymous with family, agriculture, and community, and it naturally grew into something much bigger than any of us imagined.

For Meriah, food has always been personal.

After becoming a mother, she found herself frustrated by how difficult it was to buy convenient foods made with ingredients she actually trusted. Processed oils, artificial food dyes, unnecessary preservatives, and long ingredient lists became things she actively worked to avoid. That journey led her back to the kitchen—learning to make more foods from scratch, sourcing local ingredients whenever possible, and finding practical ways to replace highly processed foods with simple, recognizable ingredients. Many of the products you’ll find at Corner Corral are inspired by that journey, with many more still to come.

The inspiration for our first wellness product came from an unexpected place.

In 2023, while deployed to California in support of the U.S. Border Mission, Meriah spent countless weekends exploring Southern California with friends. Long mountain hikes and physically demanding adventures highlighted something she hadn’t been able to find in existing products. She carried electrolyte mixes, energy packets, protein snacks, and recovery supplements—but after every hike, it always felt like something was still missing.

That simple question—“Why isn’t there one product that helps support hydration, recovery, and healthy skin all at once?”—became the beginning of what is now Glow. Since then, we’ve continued refining the concept using ingredients we believe in and formulas we’d proudly use ourselves.

Our family shares a passion for finding better, more natural solutions.

While Trent is continually exploring ways to improve soil health and replace synthetic fertilizers with more natural alternatives, Meriah focuses on creating clean, nourishing foods and products that fit into busy, everyday life without sacrificing quality or ingredients.
